Geethanjali (1989)
Geethanjali is a 1989 Telugu, romance film written and directed by Mani Ratnam. The soundtrack is composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Upon release, the film met with both commercial success and critical acclaim. The film released in 1989 along with a dubbed version in Tamil titled Idhayathai Thirudathe. The film was later dubbed in Malayalam. The film was remade in Hindi as Yaad Rakhegi Duniya starring Aditya Pancholi, Rukhsar and Vikram Gokhale. The film won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and seven Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards.
