La Leyenda de la Llorona is an animated horror-adventure-comedy film based on the legend, La Llorona. It is produced by Ánima Estudios and Eficine 226, and is distributed by Videocine. It released in Mexican theaters on October 21, 2011. It is a sequel to the Mexican blockbuster, La Leyenda de la Nahuala. The English-subtitled version of the film was also released direct-to-video in the United States, distributed by Pantelion Films and Lionsgate. It is also available in iTunes.
