Midnight (1939)
Midnight is a 1939 romantic comedy (with some elements of screwball comedy) directed by Mitchell Leisen, and written by Charles Brackett and Billy Wilder based on a story by Edwin Justus Mayer and Franz Schulz. It starred Claudette Colbert, Don Ameche, and John Barrymore. In 2013 the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
